ICAEW training films

ICAEW training films provoke discussions and challenge mindsets about how to deal with difficult decisions and topical issues in business situations. With a focus on professional scepticism, ethics and everyday business challenges, ICAEW training films are being used by firms and companies around the world to support their in-house training and business development programmes.

Training films

Three training films have been produced to date, with a new film currently in production. Each film has been written by ICAEW and produced by Area 17. Find out more about each training film in the portfolio below.

Please note that a licence is required to access the films and there is a charge for licences for some films, depending on your role, firm and location. While we prepare for the launch of the new film, licences for the current films are temporarily on hold. Please check with your employer to see if there is already a licence in place for your firm or let us know below if you would like to be advised when we re-open licence applications. If you would like to renew your existing licence agreement, please email creditcontrol-psd@icaew.com.

Currently in production, Crossing the Line delves into the high-stakes world of a top-tier football club, Scarbridge FC, a fast-growing software company, Xoltic, and the two audit teams responsible for signing off their accounts. And crucially, it reveals how they overlap.

All Too Familiar ™

All Too Familiar is an award-winning 16-minute training film which explores the degree of trust still placed in personal and professional relationships and whether trust is enough in the fight against economic crime. It aims to challenge mindsets and provoke discussion on the need for greater professional scepticism when faced with potential money laundering risks.

This 35-minute film follows the story of two turbulent years in the life of a fictitious company called D-Merton and how it was brought to its knees by the actions of its executive directors, the lack of vigilance and courage by its board of directors and failure by the company’s auditors to identify and investigate red flag issues.
