The aim of the Foundation is to support and provide donations to bodies, charitable trusts or funds for the public benefit in areas which are of particular interest to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Linked charities

Details and the aims of the linked charities are as follows:

  1. The ICAEW Foundation: through its bursary programmes the Foundation creates life-changing opportunities for ambitious under-graduate students from financially challenged backgrounds in the UK and internationally
  2. CATER (Chartered Accountants’ Trust for Education & Research): the advancement of education, particularly in accounting and related subjects, by maintaining and operating the ICAEW Library and by supporting qualifying education and research projects initiated by the ICAEW and others
  3. CAPET (Chartered Accountants Permanent Education Trust: the advancement of education, particularly in accounting and related subjects, by funding the prizes awarded through ICAEW’s examinations and funding bursaries in accordance with the secondary objectives of the trust
  4. PD Leake Trust: the advancement of the sciences of accounting and political economy, including public finance and taxation, by funding academic research projects, events and post-graduate bursaries
  5. We encourage all of our members to engage with your charity and help us grow our impact
