#ICAEWROAR aims to identify the UK’s top accountancy online influencers using unique values-led formulas.
Accountancy and financial services have become increasingly active on social media in recent years. ICAEW seeks to influence the industry through this campaign and by encouraging more of our members and member firms to consider their social media presence.
#ICAEWROAR celebrates UK-based individuals using social media within the realms of the accountancy profession. To be included on our yearly list of influencers on X (formerly known as Twitter), you must be based in the UK, have an X handle, cover accountancy-related topics, and represent a tone of voice reflecting ICAEW's values.
Tested in 2023, our LinkedIn influencer ranking used X data to inform and build out our LinkedIn list of influencers. Same criteria, to be UK based, have a profile on LinkedIn, cover accountancy-related topics, and represent a tone of voice reflecting ICAEW's values, applied.
Our values are imperative to the way we communicate, behave, and position ourselves. We are bound by our Royal Charter to promote acting responsibly and behaving with integrity, throughout our profession and beyond. These values underpin our ranking system and have informed the design of the algorithm we have written, so will ultimately decide who ranks.
We have developed the X ranking algorithm using Brandwatch's listening tool, our social media intelligence platform, to search and list the contenders. Our LinkedIn ranking’s data was collected manually and a formula considering quality over quantity was applied.
