Biography
Mary Phibbs, FCA was appointed to the Board in June 2024.
Mary is currently the Senior Independent Director and Audit Chair of Just Group plc, the Chair of Virgin Money Unit Trust Managers and Non-Executive Director and Risk Chair of the Toronto based Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments).
Her previous board roles include crown corporations, public, listed, private, mutual and third sectors such as serving as a Non-executive Director of Morgan Stanley and Co plc, Novae Group plc, New Day Group Limited, Friends Life Group plc, and Charity Bank Limited.
Mary has over 40 years of international business, risk management, finance and board experience in various countries from the UK and Europe to Australia, the Pacific, South-East Asia, the Middle East and North America. A former Head of Finance Institutions for Commonwealth Bank of Australia she has held a wide range of previous executive roles at Standard Chartered Bank plc, ANZ Banking Group, National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and PwC, among others.
