Biography
Peter Wyman, CBE was appointed as our first independently selected Chair of the Board in 2023.
In October 2023, Peter was appointed to lead the Independent Review into the Quality Assurance and Policy Processes relating to the national school's funding formula.
Since leaving PwC in 2010, where he had been a partner and a member of the Global Executive, he has held a portfolio of non-executive appointments spanning the private, public and third sectors including currently being the Chair of NHS Blood and Transplant and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Pay.UK.
Peter has also been a passionate advocate for the profession and ICAEW his entire working life. Some of you may know him as he was a member of the ICAEW Council from 1991 to 2009 and our President in 2002-2003. He was awarded a CBE in the 2006 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to the accountancy profession.
