Biography

Jas is the Chair of ICAEW's Student Council, having previously served as Vice-Chair and as a Student Council Representative for Birmingham.  She embarked on her accountancy career through the school leaver route, starting with an AAT Level 3 apprenticeship at a small firm.  Jas then progressed to a larger firm, becoming ACA qualified with BDO in September 2023.

With several years of experience in both small and large public practice accountancy firms, Jas has developed a wide breadth of experience across various service streams, including financial accounts preparation, audit, tax, and payroll.  Her specialism lies in financial accounts preparation.  In mid-2024, she transitioned from practice to join the finance team of a world-leading energy company.

Having attended state-funded schools, Jas is passionate about social mobility and firmly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to achieve their potential, regardless of background.  She actively volunteers her time to support initiatives that promote this cause.
