Mohammad Shoaib has held successive senior positions within the banking industry and is currently the COO and CFO at Europe Arab Bank (EAB) plc UK, part of the Arab Bank Group, one of the oldest and largest banking group across the Middle East and North Africa region. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the UK bank, vice chair of EAB's banking subsidiary in France and director of several investment entities associated with the Group.
Mohammad Shoaib qualified as a member in 2009. Prior to that, he qualified as a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in 2004 and also gained membership of ACCA in 2003. He trained with KPMG in Pakistan and relocated to the UK in late 2004, working with Ernst & Young London and then joining EAB in 2007.
Mohammad Shoaib has also attended executive education courses at the Harvard Business School and Said Business School, University of Oxford.
He is committed to various voluntary causes. He serves as a non-executive member of the Finance and Audit Committee Barts Charity, of one of the largest NHS charities, a patron of the British Pakistan Foundation, chair of the UK Chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and non-executive director of an education and health services organisation in Pakistan.
He takes an active interest in cricket and various racquet sports.
