Biography
A Cardiff girl born and bred and Welsh learner, I moved to Birmingham to train, working for the Big 4 in audit and assurance before moving back to Wales in 2000. I have broad business experience and before I took a Group role in Azets in 2020, having advised businesses across a wide spectrum of services and industries.
I am primarily an audit and regulatory compliance specialist and was latterly (until 2025) Audit Compliance Principal for Azets, as well as Azets Group M & A Compliance Director and UK Head of Audit and UK Head of Regulatory Compliance (until 2024). I now lead the Regulatory and Compliance Function within the Group M & A function of Azets (as a consolidator), covering UK and Europe. My career has been entirely practice based.
I have been heavily involved in Welsh business life and simultaneously involved with ICAEW in various capacities. I have been a member of the South Wales district society for over 15 years and was the Society President in 2015. I am a member of the ICAEW Wales Network Board. I was the Support Member (Practice) for Wales. This was a role that I undertook for more than 15 years (until June 2024) and in which I hope to have made a difference by assisting members in difficulty find a route through their issue – be they professional or private. More recently I was a member of ICAEW's Audit Committee, later Chair (until June 2024).
