Professor Maureen Meadows Professor of Strategic Management at the Centre for Business in Society (CBiS) at Coventry University.

Maureen is co-leader of a research cluster around the theme of ‘Data, Organisations and Society’, with a particular interest in ‘big data’, the governance of data and the strategic decision-making that can result from shared data. With a background in mathematics, statistics and operational research, Maureen has over 20 years of experience of working with 'big data' and customer analytics, both as a practitioner in the financial services sector and an academic. Maureen is currently a member of the Executive at the British Academy of Management, having been elected to the role of Co-Vice Chair (Special Interest Groups).

Dr Allesandro Merendino ACA Researcher and Qualified Chartered Accountant, Coventry University

Alessandro is a researcher at the Centre for Business in Society, Faculty of Business and Law, Coventry University. His expertise lies in the area of corporate governance with a particular focus on the board of directors and the top management team, including how these groups use technology for their decision-making, how they solve a crisis and how they cope with conflicts. He is an ICAEW chartered accountant, internal auditor and a visiting research fellow at Cass Business School, City University, as well as a trustee and the chair of the finance committee of a charity. He completed both his Master's degree and PhD in Business Economics and Management at the University of Ferrara (Italy).
