This page explains how to access content from ICAEW’s Corporate Reporting Faculty plus why, and how, to register as a faculty member.

ICAEW’s Corporate Reporting Faculty (CRF) supports members, ACA and CFAB students in business and in practice by producing guidance on corporate reporting requirements as well as keeping members up to date with the latest corporate reporting developments impacting the profession.

As ICAEW’s voice on corporate reporting, the faculty acts in the public interest to influence policy by engaging with stakeholders such as the UK Government, standard-setters and regulators, and by responding to consultations. We also develop thought leadership to inform the future direction of corporate reporting in the UK and beyond.

What resources are available?

Non-ICAEW members

  • Can I access Corporate Reporting Faculty content?

Yes, it is possible for everyone to access Corporate Reporting Faculty content. However, whether access is complimentary or chargeable will vary depending on whether your organization is a corporate member of the faculty or whether you are a member of staff in an eligible firm.

You may check whether your organization is a corporate member of the faculty by contacting Lorraine Sinclair at crf@icaew.com.

If you are a member of staff in an eligible ICAEW firm (ie, member firm), you are able to access faculty content using member firm access.

If you are not a member of staff in an eligible ICAEW firm and do not have access via a corporate membership scheme, you will need to join the Corporate Reporting Faculty in order to access faculty content. Charges will apply - view details of current charges.

  • How will I benefit from joining the Corporate Reporting Faculty?

By joining the Corporate Reporting Faculty, as well as being able to access the resources outlined above, you will benefit from receiving monthly bulletins highlighting the latest faculty content and developments in corporate reporting. Faculty members additionally receive a quarterly By All Accounts newsletter – our digital collection of articles exploring trends in corporate reporting.

Member firm access

  • What is member firm access?

Member firm access provides free access to Corporate Reporting Faculty content to all staff (including non-ICAEW members) working in an eligible ICAEW firm. In addition, member firm access provides access to the Bloomsbury Accounting and Tax Service; around 80 accounting and tax titles from Bloomsbury Professional’s online library.

  • Who is eligible?

All staff (including non-ICAEW members) who work in an ICAEW firm which is part of the Practice Assurance scheme, and/or is regulated, supervised or authorised by ICAEW for one or more of the following:

    • Audit
    • DPB
    • Probate
    • Licensed Practitioner Scheme
    • Insolvency
    • AML
  • How do I gain access?

A one-off registration process is required for which you will need your ICAEW firm ID (C0 number). To obtain your firm’s C0 number, speak to a senior partner or practice principal. Complete the one-off registration process . After completing registration, you will be provided with log-in credentials for future use.

  • What’s the difference between member firm access and faculty membership?

While member firm access provides you with free access to Corporate Reporting Faculty content on icaew.com, you will not receive the faculty’s monthly bulletin highlighting the latest resources and developments, the quarterly By All Accounts newsletter or notifications of webinars and events. Joining the faculty’s live webinars and events will also be chargeable.

To benefit from receiving faculty notifications and being able to attend webinars live at no cost, you will need to register as a faculty member via one of the routes described above.

Corporate membership

  • What is corporate membership and how does it work?

For organisations that do not qualify for member firm access, corporate membership schemes offer discounted faculty membership rates to organisations with 10 or more non-ICAEW members wishing to join the faculty.

The level of discount depends on the number of individuals covered by your corporate membership scheme, as set out below:

    Number of non-ICAEW members
    Discount available
    10 – 20
    10%
    21 – 30
    15%
    31 – 50
    20%
    51 - 80
    25%
    81+
    30%

To discuss your organisations’ needs and to arrange corporate membership, please contact Lorraine Sinclair at crf@icaew.com.

  • What about ICAEW members in the organisation?

Only non-ICAEW members are administered under corporate membership schemes. This is because ICAEW members and ACA students can register themselves as Corporate Reporting Faculty members directly at no cost (see above). Organisations are therefore recommended to encourage staff who are ICAEW members/ACA students to register as individual faculty members so that they can benefit from receiving monthly bulletins, quarterly By All Accounts newsletters and notifications of upcoming webinars and events.
