Biography

Evgenios Evgeniou

Chairman of Invest Cyprus, Chairman of Nicosia for Art, Chairman of Cerberus Capital Cyprus entities, board member of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, member of the Corporate Governance committee of the ICAEW and ICAEW contact member for Cyprus. Former Vice Chairman of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and past member of the Council of the University of Cyprus.

Held several leadership roles in his 31-year career with PwC. Served as Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC Cyprus (2012-2021) leading the firm through a decade of challenges, achieving commercial success, technological transformation, and social impact. Has extensive international experience as member of the PwC EMEA Leadership Team (2017-2021), representing 15 European territories.

Holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng (Hons)) degree from Imperial College London, a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), and completed the Harvard Direct Leadership program. In 2024 he earned the Master of Arts (MA) in International Affairs (Strategic Studies) from King's College London, and in 2023 the Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD having completed the International Directors Program. Biography

George is currently a director at Commercial General Insurance Ltd and, as well as being a contact member in Cyprus. He served for a number of years as an ICAEW council member elected to represent members in Cyprus.

During his professional career to date he has developed a particular interest in the international business industry of Cyprus and its development. Over the years of his professional career the international business industry in general as well as his firm experienced considerable expansion and transformation.

In addition he developed a speciality in the financial services industry and served a number of multinational clients in the financial services as well as other industries such as oil and gas operating from Cyprus.

George served for six years as the first president of the Cyprus UK Business Association until he resigned at the end of 2014. He is also the ex-Treasurer of the Cyprus branch of the English Speaking Union.
