Biography

Gavin is a director within PwC’s Academy, the commercial training business of PwC and is based in Dubai. He is responsible for all Professional Development training for the region and is an expert in financial reporting, assurance and risk, strategy and planning. He is an award winning key note speaker and trainer on technical, behavioural, diversity and educational issues.

Prior to joining PwC’s Academy, Gavin was the Director of Qualifications for the ICAEW with responsibility for the design, development and delivery of all certificates and qualifications offered by ICAEW including the ACA, the Institute’s flagship qualification. He delivered technical training in private and public sector financial reporting, risk management, strategic thinking and qualifications development and management around the world and was involved in a number of World Bank projects to enhance and grow the accountancy profession. He was also a member of ICAEW's Commercial Board and the examinations Board at CISI.

Gavin is a fellow of the ICAEW having qualified in 1998, prior to which he graduated from Bristol University (UK) in 1995 with a honours degree in Economics & Accounting.
