Please read this important notice about the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants.
Notice is hereby given that the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting on 11 December 2023 commencing at 11:00 at The Racquet Club, Hargreaves Buildings, 5 Chapel Street, Liverpool L3 9AG
The Extraordinary General Meeting is open to all ICAEW members allocated to the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants and will convene for the following business:
- First resolution: To consider that the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants, being company number 4869, adopts the new Memorandum and Articles of Association annexed to this notice. An explanation of the need for the change is also annexed to this notice.
- Second resolution: Ratification of a prior decision of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants Committee to consent to an ICAEW Local Network, to be known as ICAEW Liverpool, and forming a network board which will oversee local matters. Such new Network to commence as soon as is reasonably practicable and in any event no later than by 31 December 2023. An explanation of the new Network and the manner in which it shall operate is annexed to this notice.
Those members wishing to attend and vote by proxy may do so by completing and signing a proxy form, providing details of their ICAEW membership number for validation purposes, and returning to Justin Kyriakou at justin.kyriakou@icaew.com, in lieu of the Society's Secretary, no later than 8 December 2023.
