Clare Bewsher FCA ICAEW Council Member for Australasia (NSW & ACT)

Clare trained with Smith & Williamson before joining PwC's International Corporate Tax team. She is self-employed, enjoying a mix of contracting and tax consultancy. In June 2013, Clare was elected as ICAEW's first Council Member for Oceania.

Tom Johns
Tom Johns Chair and CABA Ambassador

Tom Johns has held the position of Chief Financial Officer with BGIS Asia Pacific since October 2019. He has 29 years’ experience as a leading financial professional in global technology and services businesses. Most recently he was the Finance Director-Origination with Downer, an integrated services company, where his role focussed on a significant pipeline of major infrastructure bids in ANZ, with targeted expansion into overseas markets. Most of his career has been with Unisys, a worldwide information technology company, culminating in the role Regional CFO, Unisys Asia Pacific & Japan. He provided overall financial leadership and direction for the Asia Pacific region (US$400m, 10 countries, 3000+ employees).

Simon Keeling Treasurer

Simon moved to Sydney in November 2018 after working for Crowe in London for 8 years. He currently leads the Emerging Companies team at PwC where he works with high growth early stage businesses. Simon also sits on the ICAEW Tech Faculty board. Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending time around Sydney’s coastline and exploring local breweries.

Sara has been responsible for providing finance services to large, complex engineering and ICT projects with multi-national corporations and government agencies in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. She specializes in implementing substantial business initiatives and operational improvements.

Diane Potter Committee Member

Diane qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. Soon after qualifying she moved to industry, having a number of finance roles in the UK before moving to Sydney in 2004. Diane is an experienced commercial finance professional with over 15 years working in the fast moving Global Telecoms sector. Her current role is as a Customer Business Controller, leading the financial & commercial support for a large customer focused sales, delivery & operational team.

Adam Sealey
Adam Sealey Committee Member

Adam qualified with a mid-tier firm in Somerset, assisting small and medium sized farming businesses with their tax and business affairs. He emigrated to Sydney in 2018 and has a keen interest in assisting ICAEW members to settle in to life in Australia, holding social events for Younger Members on a regular basis. He currently works within the Business Advisory team at RSM.

Richard set up his own consultancy firm in 1989, Stokes Partners International. He is an external compliance committee member for various investments schemes, a compliance advisor to fund managers, and acts as a compliance officer to boutique fund managers. He presents training courses on unit trust operations for Kaplan Professional in Australia and in Asia.
