Highlights from the broader tax news for the week ending 6 September 2023, including: Autumn Statement date; and CFE tax conference.
Autumn Statement date announced
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, has announced that he will present the Autumn Statement 2023 to Parliament on 22 November.
The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) has been commissioned to prepare an economic and fiscal forecast to be presented to Parliament alongside the Autumn Statement.
The 16th European Conference on Tax Advisers' Professional Affairs
The conference, organised by CFE Tax Advisers Europe and Finland’s Association of Tax Consultants, Suomen Veroasiantuntijat ry, will take place on 21 September 2023 in Helsinki, Finland.
The conference will consist of two panel sessions:
- Towards 2030: What is next for Fiscal Policy, Ethics and Fairness in Taxation?
- Tax Administration 3.0: Making Tax Digital, AI & the Finnish Real Economy Project.
