New advisory fuel rates

HMRC has published the advisory fuel rates applying from 1 December 2024. The rates apply to employees using a company car. The rates should be used where the employer reimburses employees for business travel in their company cars or needs employees to repay the cost of fuel used for private travel.

Update on Pillar 2

HMRC has published guidance explaining:

New relief from land transaction tax

Regulations have been made that provide for a new relief from land transaction tax for qualifying land transactions within a special tax site. The regulations came into force on 26 November 2024. In February 2024, ICAEW’s Tax Faculty responded to a consultation on the draft regulations.
