Offering up to three hours of verifiable continuing professional development (CPD), the Virtual CPD Conference is the first of its kind for ICAEW.
Designed specifically to support ICAEW members with meeting their CPD requirements, the online event was free to attend live and can now be accessed free on demand.
There are six short sessions offering updates in key areas, as well as an update on CPD from ICAEW. The sessions cover:
- the latest tax developments - from Sharon Cooke, Accountancy Technical and Training Consultant at 2020 Innovation;
- a legal update covering changes in employment, company law and data protection;
- insights into what's happening in the corporate reporting space, covering both UK GAAP and IFRS - from ICAEW Technical Manager Laura Woods and Helen Kerrigan, Director, Future Finance Training;
- how to ensure good corporate governance;
- top tips on improving communication skills; and
- advice on how to use artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline processes and provide real-time data analysis.
The idea behind the event was to offer members a great way to stay up to date on a range of subjects in a way that suits them, explains Andrea Cook, ICAEW’s Director of Specialised and Lifelong Learning.
“We understand that our members want to keep abreast of a wide range of subjects in a time-effective way,” she said. “We’ve worked hard to create a programme that will provide key technical updates and practical support for your day-to-day work.”
Each session signposts additional ICAEW resources for members who want to find out more about the topics discussed.
You can register today to access all of the sessions on demand, and watch when it works for you.
