Have your say and shape ICAEW's future

ICAEW is asking members to share their views on what they value and expect from the Institute as it looks at its priorities for the next five years and considers how its offer can be improved.

ICAEW members have until 4 November to take part in a global survey and share their opinions on the institute and its offering, as well as inform its future strategy.

The survey launched last week, and every member who has opted to receive emails from ICAEW has been sent a personalised invitation to participate.

Alan Vallance, ICAEW’s Chief Executive, says: “I am keen to ensure we continue to evolve and enhance ICAEW membership. This survey is a chance to share what you value most about ICAEW membership and suggest areas for improvement.”

Vallance encourages all members to take part in the research regardless of how often they interact with the institute. “Your feedback is essential to help us develop our services, shape ICAEW’s strategy and influence the future of our profession.”

The questionnaire takes just 20 minutes to complete and every person who takes part has a chance to win one of seven £500 Amazon vouchers (or a local equivalent). If you haven’t received an email about the survey you can access it from icaew.com/takethesurvey and enter your member number when prompted.

ICAEW offering

The online survey has been created following a series of in-depth interviews in September with a cross-section of members about their experiences with ICAEW.

ICAEW wants to get a better understanding of the resources and services members use and value, as well as identify opportunities in how these are delivered and for potential growth.

Members are asked to share what they believe is the key benefit of their association with ICAEW and the value offered by membership, alongside their views on funding and fees.

Perceptions and strategy

The survey also asks members about their perceptions of ICAEW, the wider accountancy sector and ICAEW initiatives that aim to benefit the profession.

Finally, the questions look to the future, asking members about the challenges and opportunities of the next five years and ICAEW’s key strategic priorities.
