Why did you choose DLiP™?
DLiP was chosen by my partner sponsors as the ideal course to support me in my currently leadership roles whilst providing useful training and insight to help progress my career to a more senior level.
Did you have any reservations about joining DLiP™?
It was initially difficult to know what to really expect from DLiP given it was a group of people from different firms. There was some apprehension as to how the dynamics of the face to face days would work. The way in which the group was integrated and how the experience of DLiP opened us all up to each other and our shared commonality actually turned out to be one of the key strengths of the course.
Past participants describe the DLiP™ programme as a transformative journey, do you agree? And if so, how has it changed you?
Through both the group work and the one on one coaching sessions, DLiP challenges your thinking at every level. It has certainly made me appreciate the range of leadership styles and approaches that can be employed within my organisation to help me succeed.
One unique element of DLiP™ is the coaching participants receive. How did coaching benefit you?
The coaching provided a complete safe space to be completely open and discuss how I as an individual can adapt, change and improve in order to reach the next level. For me the coaching element made the course.
DLiP™ is renowned for its blended approach to learning, particularly, for its peer learning groups, how did you find them?
It’s not often that you get the chance to discuss your work and your firm with a group of people who understand the business but are impartial outsiders. Hearing that other firms and people at the same point in their careers face similar challenges and opportunities was really useful in helping me put in place my own development plan.
What has been your biggest takeaway from DLiP™?
DLiP has helped me to approach my role within my firm with a different mind set and has helped me to explore how I can do things differently to get to the same outcome whilst giving a greater feeling of involvement and ownership to those around me.
Would you recommend DLiP™ to others?
Yes! If you approach the course with an open mind and talk about your views and ideas, rather than trying to give the “right” answer then it is a very worthwhile experience.
