Previously, Huw was Chief European Economist at Goldman Sachs. Before that, he worked at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. He served as its Deputy Director of Research and Head of its Monetary Policy Stance Division and worked in its Strategic Policy Issues Unit. Huw was also a member of the faculty at Harvard Business School.
Voted Speaker of the Year 2022, Leanne is a keynote speaker and bestselling author. With 11+ years in wellbeing and 13 qualifications in exercise and nutrition, she transitioned to set-up a wellbeing company in 2012, after experiencing burnout. Her keynotes focus on beating burnout through her unique Cadence Approach, emphasising belonging, social relationships, and human connection.
Piers is an entrepreneur, investor, and former Dragon on the prime-time BBC show Dragons’ Den (Shark Tank). With a background in venture capital law and M&A investment banking at Credit Suisse, Piers has established himself as a leading figure in the UK business world, particularly in the technology sector.

Recognized in Sustainability Magazine's Top 100 Women in Sustainability for three consecutive years, Elena brings 26 years of experience at Oracle, spanning corporate sustainability strategy, product management, consulting, and the implementation of transformative solutions across Financials, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management, and Analytics.
Richard, KPMG’s UK ESG Head, was previously a partner in Financial Services Consulting, with 25+ years' experience in regulation, controls, and assurance. He led KPMG’s UK Internal Controls Reform and served as a Specialist Advisor to the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee. Chair of ICAEW Financial Services Faculty Board since June 2021, he's also a member of ICAEW’s Council.
Eugene began running at 26 alongside his career as an ACA chartered accountant. Running 9.93 seconds in the 100m, he ranked among Europe's top 10 and UK's top 4, earning two national bronze medals while on annual leave. His story illustrates talent development despite obstacles, inspiring others.
Elected ICAEW President for 2024/5, Malcolm has held senior management positions with private and AIM companies and been involved in ICAEW affairs both as a student and member, serving as Chairman of the London Society of Chartered Accountants in 1993/94 and President in 2017/18. He was elected to ICAEW’s Council in 2005. He is currently also a member of HMRC’s Administrative Burdens Advisory Board, an officer of several charities and chairs a local conservation group.
Merging her expertise in technology and finance, Jenny began her career at PwC after earning a Mathematics degree from Exeter University. Initially focusing on finance, she implemented Sarbanes-Oxley and International Financial Reporting Standards. She later transitioned into technology, where she led system upgrades and developed new financial tools. As the Head of Finance at Costello Medical Limited, Jenny drives innovation, particularly in the evolving role of AI in finance.
Mike is a visiting Professor at the Department of Social Policy at the LSE. Between 2011 and 2020, he was a Professor of Economics at the University of Essex. He has also worked at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and HM Treasury. Mike is interested in all aspects of inequality in income and wealth, including the role of the labour market and the tax and benefit system.
A multi-award-winning Managing Director, Satvir has completed many high-profile UK and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has a reputation for transforming businesses and holds an MBE for services to Corporate Finance. Satvir is executive sponsor of BDO’s CEDAR network, which aims to increase representation in leadership.
With an Audit Analytics background, Fay transitioned to Forvis Mazars in 2018, offering Outsourced Management accounts and bookkeeping. Her expertise in data led to process improvement and tech integration. She's passionate about digital upskilling, currently leading a project for a platform aimed at certifying skill sets and expanding digital proficiency.
A pioneer of thinking on accounting ethics who served on the ICAEW Ethics Standards Committee for ten years, Chris is the architect of the Institute's Ethics CPD course. He received the British Accounting and Finance Association’s Life-time Achievement Award 2023 and continues to write, speak and advise on business ethics.
Kathryn is a Chartered Accountant who is a specialist in financial reporting, auditing and corporate governance, including the reporting and auditing aspects of company law. Kathryn now works predominantly as a non-executive director and among other appointments chairs the audit and risk committees at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and National Highways.
Daniel aims to equip firms and professionals with the skillsets to thrive in a technology-driven world, leveraging over thirty years' experience in finance, management, HR and education with EY, Goldman Sachs and BPP. As Vice-Chair of the ICAEW Tech Faculty Board, he guides the ICAEW's approach to new technology, set to become Chair in June.
Glyn is a qualified barrister and chartered accountant. Since 1998, he has held diverse IT roles, from back-office accounting to frontline sales. His leadership philosophy nurtures and empowers teams, fostering exceptional growth and a collaborative, positive work environment.
Diane co-directs the Bennett Institute where she heads research under the themes of progress and productivity. Her current research focuses on productivity and on economic measurement: what does it mean for economic policy to make the world ‘better’, and how would we know if it succeeds? Diane was awarded a DBE for her contribution to economic policy in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours.
Marcia is a Communities Manager at ICAEW, looking after Diversity and Inclusion, Women in Finance, Young Members, Career Breakers and was instrumental in the setup of the Black Members Community. She organises frequent networking events, webinars and workshops for the Communities and facilitates on panel discussions with numerous topics across the business.
Kate oversees the development and implementation of the team’s sustainability assessment framework, analysing investments against a range of environmental, social and governance criteria. She also monitors emerging sustainability themes, sets priorities for Greenbank’s stewardship and engagement activities and has developed the team’s systems for the measurement and reporting of portfolio sustainability and impact performance.
Karen oversees a cross-organisational programme of work focusing on how to transform the financial and economic system for sustainability. She is an economist with 25 years’ experience, having previously worked in roles focusing on international economics, private sector development, growth, investment, financial regulation and macroeconomic policy issues.
For over 10 years Kyle's career has been focused on the audit profession, first as an auditor, then serving in consultative roles across resourcing and technology. He is also a regular speaker on the topics of fraud, information and technology across audit. His current role offers global oversight of the organisation's relationships with the world's largest accounting firms.
Jack is a chartered accountant and qualified auditor. He began his career working on nationwide audits. He then moved to industry working as a Financial Controller, and later to Caseware's training team drawing on his extensive knowledge of the product gained in previous roles. He now has a wide-arching role covering many areas including Solutions Consulting and Revenue Operations.
Giles co-founded Insignis Cash, following a 20-year career in Investment Banking as a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch where he was European Corporate Head of Banking and Debt Capital Markets. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Giles was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and has held previous roles at Goldman Sachs and Barclays.
Nick has had a strong interest in financial management and performance improvement throughout his career, working across several industries, including central and local government, energy, and utility companies. Nick joined Oracle having worked in central government departments driving finance transformation and now works closely with the accounting profession, looking at the changing role of finance and CFOs.
Steve has led the UN Global Compact Network UK Secretariat since 2007, driving sustainability in UK companies. He chaired the UN Global Compact's Global Network Council and served on its Board. Formerly at IBLF, he directed projects on responsible business. Steve founded a Canadian retail sports equipment business and holds a B.Comm and an MSc in Business & Environment.
Maria is an AI ethics and policy expert. She is responsible for integrating ethical considerations into PwC’s AI strategies and leading PwC's engagement in public policy debates. Additionally, Maria conducts research at the University of Cambridge on human-centric AI and its implications for tech policy and ethics.
Joe, a leading academic at Cranfield for 40 years was awarded his PhD in 1991, becoming a Professor and establishing the Economics Group. Under his leadership, the group ranked first globally by the Financial Times for MBA economics teaching, consistently in the top 10 for over a decade. Joe also co-developed the UK's leading house price measurement systems.
Esther influences Technology policy to enable businesses, accountants and society to harness its benefits while limiting harm. Prior to joining ICAEW, she worked in technology internal and external audit roles, focussing on information and cyber security and operational resilience. She is also a qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant, qualifying whilst at Deloitte.
In his role, Stuart makes sure all Xero products are aligned and compliant with current and proposed legislation in the UK. A key part of this is regularly engaging with regulatory bodies like HMRC.
Sheryl, a Chartered Accountant and Transformation specialist, provides Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training, consultancy, and leadership coaching to global organisations. With a focus on authenticity, she crafts tailored workshops and advises boards on practical diversity strategies. Author of 'Smashing Stereotypes,' Sheryl holds Independent Board Advisory and Non-Executive Director roles.

Rachel is a Chartered Tax Adviser, a specialist in providing tax planning advice to entrepreneurs' businesses. Sarah, a chartered accountant, is an authentic Disability Awareness Trainer helping businesses create inclusive workplaces for people with disabilities. Maelle leads the coalition’s policy and government engagement on nature, focusing on UN negotiations. Jayne, a business advisor, empowers Scottish SMEs to adopt sustainable business models. Collaborating with ICAEW, she develops sustainability learning materials for professionals. With 16+ years in corporate analysis and prudential risk, her transition to sustainability advocacy reflects her belief in businesses' potential to drive positive economic and environmental impact.
