The Insolvency Service publishes data on company and individual insolvencies for England and Wales plus Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Liquidation and insolvency
Basic overview of insolvency and liquidation proceedings from GOV.UK with more detailed information about the documents that must be delivered to the Registrar of Companies.
Insolvency Service
Government body dealing with insolvency issues in England and Wales. The site provides a range of resources including legislative information, guidance notes, details of official receivers and the bankruptcy and insolvency register.
Gazette
Official Newspaper of Record for the UK, giving notices on regulatory and legal information including insolvency notices. Still printed as separate editions for Edinburgh, London and Belfast, but all three now share a website.
A guide to European restructuring and insolvency procedures
Guide published by Clifford Chance providing an overview of the relevant law in the following countries: England and Wales, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and Turkey. Published in September 2015.

Average employment costs within this sector are available from Table 14 of the Office for National Statistics publication Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE). Average employment costs are provided for full-time employees, part-time employees and all employees.
