Commodity price publications and databases
Financial Times
The Financial Times publishes tables of commodity prices in the print edition of the newspaper from Monday to Friday each week.
The ICAEW Library aims to keep the last 6 months' worth of market data pages from the FT, and the Guildhall Library in London holds the FT from 1888 onwards in various formats. Some other public libraries also hold copies of the FT, with varying temporal coverage.
Tables for the last five years are available online through the FT Data Archive (subscription required).

The World Bank website has a section dedicated to commodity price data which includes monthly updates on price movements and forecasts.

Original sources for commodity price data
There are a wide range of trade bodies and publications which provide commodity prices in individual sectors. The list below highlights a small selection of these organisations.
International Cocoa Organisation (ICCO)
The International Cocoa Organisation publishes a range of statistics and reports, some of which require subscription. The price data available includes the ICCO daily price for cocoa beans, monthly averages, and a Monthly Review of the Market which reports on cocoa price movements on the international markets.
International Coffee Organisation (ICO)
The International Coffee Organisation provides data on coffee prices through a number of channels. Price data from recent months is available free-of-charge on the ICO’s website, through its ICO Composite Indicator Price (I-CIP) and Coffee Market Report (CMR) publications. Historical and more detailed data is available to paying subscribers via the World Coffee Statistics Database.
International Energy Agency
The International Energy Agency provides free and subscription-based price data through the statistics section of its website.
International Grains Council
The International Grains Council (IGC) provides some data free of charge, such as that included in the Grains and Oilseeds Index (GOI), but other reports require a subscription.
International Rubber Study Group
The International Rubber Study Group publishes reports containing price statistics, which are available for a charge.
International Sugar Association
The International Sugar Association provides daily sugar prices for the past six months free-of-charge via its website. Other statistical reports are available for a charge.
International Tea Committee
The International Tea Committee compiles and publishes statistics for the tea trade. Statistical reports are available for a charge.
London Bullion Market Association (LBMA)
Price data for gold (1968-), silver (1968-), platinum (1990-) and palladium (1990-) are given on the prices and data page on the LBMA website. Particular uses of these prices require a usage licence.
London Metal Exchange
The London Metal Exchange provides free access to some price data via its website; further data is available for a charge.
Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)
OPEC gives daily, weekly, monthly and yearly data for the OPEC basket price. Other data is given for production, oil reserves, and taxes on oil.
