How the Library can help
The ICAEW Library has compiled this guide to help everyone to find the tax rates they need.
The Library enquiry team can also help ICAEW members, ACA students and other authorised users with requests for current and historical tax rates from a variety of print and online sources, many of which you can find listed on this page.

IBFD Tax Research Platform
The ICAEW Library subscribes to the IBFD Tax Research Platform, a specialist cross-border tax database which provides current and historical tax rates and detailed tax guides for hundreds of jurisdictions around the world.
It includes rates for the direct taxation of companies and individuals, withholding tax, VAT/GST, and other taxes.
More information on the documents available for each respective country can be found in our tax by country or territory guides.

Accountancy firms
Several accountancy firms produce resources which detail current and/or historical tax rates for particular jurisdictions around the world. Examples include:
- PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries Online
In-depth guides covering a wide range of corporate and individual tax topics in over 150 territories. Includes useful summaries of significant developments and tables of tax rates and due dates. - EY Tax and Law Guides
Annually updated guides summarising the tax system, key tax issues, and legal matters in over 150 jurisdictions around the world. - PKF Worldwide Tax Guides
Annual guides for accountancy professionals and businesses on corporate tax rates, incentives for overseas businesses, double tax treaties, and taxation of foreign source income. 157 jurisdictions are covered. - KPMG Tax Rates Online
Tax table tool that compares tax rates within a country or across multiple jurisdictions. As of 2024, it covers the period 2006–2020.
eBooks
The Library & Information Service provides a collection of eBooks as a benefit of membership. A selection of recent eBooks containing international tax rates is set out below. More titles can be found on our eBooks on tax page.

International Tax and Investment Service
As part of the Bloomsbury Accounting and Tax Service, staff and students at ICAEW member firms can access the International Tax and Investment Service. Some of the country profiles provided as part of the Service include information on tax rates.
You are permitted to access, download, copy, or print out content from eBooks for your own research or study only, subject to the Acceptable usage terms.
Government websites
Many jurisdictions publicise their tax rates through their own official online channels. For example, the Italian Agenzia delle Entrate maintains an English-language information portal which includes information on tax rates.
Links to official sources of information are included in some of our guides to tax by country or territory.
Print sources in the Library collection
There are many printed books and journals in the Library collection which may serve as useful sources of information on international tax rates — particularly historical rates.
Notable holdings include:
- Tolley's Worldwide Tax Guide (2007–08 to present)
- European Taxation (1961 to 2021)
- Worldwide Business Tax Guide (last updated September 2020)
- International Tax Handbook (2005, 2008, 2009, and 2015 eds.)
