Who can use the logos?
All ICAEW-licensed insolvency practitioners may use the ICAEW licensed insolvency practitioner (UK) logo for promotional purposes.
Firms where all the insolvency practitioners are licensed by ICAEW may use the ICAEW licensed insolvency practitioners (UK) logo to promote their firm.
The logo doesn't replace the legend
All recognised professional bodies under the Insolvency Act have agreed that insolvency practitioners should tell clients, and others with whom they deal, the name of their authorising body at an early stage.
Individuals
Individual ICAEW licence holders can meet this requirement by using the logo together with these details on their letterhead:
- 'First surname' is licensed as an insolvency practitioner in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Firms
If all the licence holders take their insolvency licence from ICAEW, the firm can use the logo on its letterhead together with the following wording:
- 'The insolvency licence holders of this practice are licensed as insolvency practitioners in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

What format should I use?
The logos are available in png, eps and jpeg formats.
When printing the logo on stationery and promotional materials we recommend using the high quality format (eps). Unless you have a specialist design programme on your computer, you will not be able to view eps files. However, your designer/printer will be able to.
If you want to print on your own local printer, use the black jpeg version of the logo.
Use the png file for digital and online materials.

How can I use the logo?
You can use the logo on your business and promotional material, such as business cards, websites, advertising, email, stationery, promotional items, office signage.
You can’t use the logo:
- in advertisements where you/your firm is endorsing or approving the products of a third party, such as a client (so the public don’t believe the endorsement is made by ICAEW);
- on commercial publications with non-members, or in other ventures with non-members; or
- on the stationery, accounts or publications of a third party, such as a client, even those prepared by a member/member firm.
-
Why can't I use the logos in the top left-hand corner of my website or letterhead?
You may not use the logos in the top left-hand corner of your website or letterhead so that there's no doubt that it's you or your firm that are providing the service to clients, not ICAEW.
-
Can I use both the ICAEW licensed insolvency practitioner(s) and the ICAEW Chartered Accountant(s) logo on my stationery and website?
Yes, as long as they are both legible and have the required clear space around each logo.
