Audit Manifesto – views and discussions

The Audit Manifesto set out a blueprint for the future of audit at the end of 2020, and audit reform agenda isn’t going away any time soon. The government response to the Brydon Review is due in a matter of weeks and public discussions around audit failures are still in the spotlight, highlighting the expectation gap between what auditors do and what wider stakeholders think they should do.

If the profession were to fully embrace reform, it offers a huge and exciting opportunity for auditors to expand their remit and create an approach that adds more value to stakeholders while reinforcing the critical function of audit of bringing honesty and trust into business.
