Audit and Assurance Faculty Google Hangouts

Welcome to the Audit and Assurance Faculty's Google Hangout page. Here you can watch our live hangouts streamed over the web.

The last Audit and Assurance Faculty hangout ‘Improving audit quality using root cause analysis’ was streamed on Thursday 1 December.

Chris Cantwell, Technical Manager at the faculty, was joined by Gill Spaul, Technical Director, Moore Stephens Europe Limited, and Geoff Swales, Director at PwC, to discuss key matters covered in the faculty’s new practical paper on root cause analysis (RCA). They examined the five essential questions in the paper regarding RCA of: what, why, how, who and when, and offered pointers on key things to consider based on what works in practice. The session also covered how the topic might develop and possible new requirements and regulator expectations on RCA.
