Free online training for trustees
We are also re-launching our popular Trustee Training e-learning modules this month. They were developed in partnership with the Charity Commission and other sector experts and have now been improved following feedback from you.
We have updated the content and added video introductions to each of the six modules: Legal responsibilities, Managing board dynamics, Financial responsibilities, Planning for success and impact, Risk management, and Managing relationships.
All Volunteering Community members can access the training free of charge and gain an ICAEW certificate upon successful completion of the multiple-choice assessment, regardless of whether you are an ICAEW member or not, so why not include this as part of your induction programme for new trustees joining the board? The training is not just for chartered accountants; it was designed for all trustees.

Finally, we have opened bookings for the virtual ICAEW Charity Conference 2022 to bring you vital technical updates on charity accounting, taxation and governance from expert speakers, inspiring keynotes from charity CEOs, and forward-looking sessions on the development of the Charities SORP and the IFR4NPO project.
