Embarking on a career in corporate finance can be a rewarding journey filled with opportunities for growth and success.
Diversity in corporate finance
In September 2024, the Corporate Finance Faculty hosted an insightful ‘Diversity and Inclusion in Corporate Finance: Is There More to Be Done?’ panel discussion with:
- Keeley Woodley - Head of Corporate Finance, Grant Thornton
- Philip Olagunju - Partner, PEM Corporate Finance
- Cara Haffey - M&A Deals Partner, PwC
- Katherine Broadhurst - Corporate finance partner, Azets, and
- Vincent Egunlae - Investment Banking analyst, Houlihan Lokey
They delved, with courage and constructive positivity, into the challenges and opportunities for achieving greater diversity and inclusion within the corporate finance industry.
David Petrie, ICAEW Head of Corporate Finance, captured the essence of the discussion, “It is important to foster an inclusive workplace culture in M&A where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute and grow their careers.”
The event served as a reminder that while progress has been made, there is still ongoing dialogue and action that is needed to ensure that everyone in the industry who would like to develop their careers in the industry, are able to and they feel that they belong.
Below are some photos from the event, capturing the vibrant discussions and the enthusiastic participation of those there.
