Isabella Fox (1) has joined ECI Partners as investment manager, from BGF’s London deal team, where she was responsible for originating and executing primary and secondary investments. Prior to her two years at the BGF, she spent seven years with PwC. She initially trained as an ACA within its London assurance team, before joining corporate finance, where she spent four years, which included a six-month secondment to Amsterdam. In 2021, she completed an MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
The private equity firm has also recruited Chloe James (2), who joins as event manager from learning and development consultancy MindGym, where she was a project manager.
WestBridge has recruited Jessica Ledger (1) and Luke Gilbert (2) as investment executives, from Investec Bank and the London arm of US investment bank Stephens. Ledger spent three years with Investec as an investment banking analyst, and Gilbert spent three years at Stephens as an analyst.
Connection Capital has recruited Michael Mowlem as chief investment officer, to head up its direct private equity and wider alternative investments offering. He has more than 25 years of private equity experience, most recently as an independent adviser. He was previously CEO of LGV Capital, head of private equity at Sandaire and before that an investment director at Silverfleet Capital, having started his career in M&A with Hambros Bank, spending nine years there.
BGF has strengthened its Midlands team with the recruitment of Kyle Long (1) as an investor in its Birmingham office, from KPMG, where he was corporate finance manager. He spent more than nine years at KPMG, initially training as an ACA in audit, before joining the corporate finance team, and specialising in the TMT sector.
It follows the recruitment of investor Sam Giurani (2) to the firm’s Nottingham team from HSBC. He previously worked for Panmure Gordon, and before that trained as a chartered accountant with EY.
Keensight Capital has recruited Rafe Hafeez as M&A director, from JP Morgan, where he was a VP, specialising in tech investment. He previously spent seven years with Barclays and worked for Deloitte.
The private equity firm has also opened its first US office in Boston, Massachusetts.
Cambridge-based Foresight Group has recruited Alastair Dean as investment manager, from Nocton Advisory, where he worked in corporate development. He previously worked for Rcapital, and before that Deloitte, where he worked in transaction services and valuations.
Veld Capital, the credit investment arm of AnaCap Financial Partners, which was spun out last year, has promoted Konstantin Karchinov (1) to head of credit, and Sebastien Wigdo (2) to partner. Konstatin joined AnaCap in 2009, having previously worked for JP Morgan and FTI Consulting. Wigdo previously worked for King Street Capital, Deutsche Bank and NM Rothschild.
Golding Capital Partners has opened an office in Milan, and has recruited Laura Tardino as managing director to lead its activities in southern Europe. She was previously head of institutional business development Italy at abrdn, and before that worked for BNPP Asset Management.
