NorthEdge has promoted Andy Skinner to partner in Birmingham. He has been head of the Midlands since 2020. He joined the firm eight years ago from Better Capital and previously worked at PwC and Deloitte, where he trained as an ACA.

Mayfair Equity Partners has promoted Nick Keegan (1) and Yusuf Hoballah (2) to partner, and Abbie Robus (3) to senior investment associate. Keegan has been the specialist technology and consumer private equity firm for eight years, having previously worked for Blue Rubicon and Orange. Hoballah has also been with Mayfair eight years and previously worked for Morgan Stanley Private Equity. Robus joined the firm in 2022 after six years with KPMG.

Joe Cassidy has joined Maven Capital Partners as investment manager from HMT, where he was a corporate finance manager, spending three years in corporate finance at the firm. Before that, he spent five years with PwC.

Hg has recruited Tara Carter (1) and Laura Grattan (2) as partners in its Genesis team (in London and New York respectively), and London-based Vijay Bharadia (3) as partner and CFO. The software and services private equity investor has promoted Christopher Kindt to partner in the London portfolio value creation team. Samantha McGonigle has joined as a partner and general counsel in London and Annie Wei has joined as director in Hg’s Mercury team in New York.

Carter has joined from Houlihan Lokey, where she was managing director in the technology corporate finance team, and Grattan from Crosspoint Capital Partners, where she was a managing director. Kindt heads up value creation services and previously worked for Boston Consulting Group and
EY-Parthenon.

McGonigle has joined from the private equity practice of Paul Hastings, having previously been a partner and co-founder at Farview Equity Partners and prior to that a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Wei has joined from Thoma Bravo. Prior to that she worked for BC Partners, Carlyle Group and Morgan Stanley.

Nicola Bonini (1) has joined Aldermore as business development manager for invoice finance and Nick Holmes (2) as asset-based lending (ABL) product manager in the bank’s business finance division. Bonini has joined from Supply@ME Capital, where she was group head of origination. Holmes has joined from Close Brothers where he was head of corporate portfolio for ABL.

Raymond James has recruited four senior bankers to its private capital advisory investment banking practice: managing directors Callie Kourniotis (1), Guy Hume (2) and Michael Henningsen (3) and director Ash Rajah (4). Hume, Henningsen and Rajah are based in London and have joined from Nomura, Pophouse Entertainment and Fairview Capital Group respectively. Kourniotis is in New York and has joined from Credit Suisse.

Mark Roberts has joined Praetura Ventures as operational partner to support the private equity firm’s portfolio of early-stage businesses. Praetura was recently announced fund manager for the £100m Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II – Equity North West. Roberts founded online craft beer store Beer Hawk in 2012, which was sold to AB InBev in 2016.
