Managing approximately £230 million across eight Venture Capital Trusts with a portfolio of investments in approximately 60 unquoted companies. Albion seeks to develop long term relationships with its partners (entrepreneurs , advisers and investors) and is able to do this because all the Albion VCTs are evergreen and the team of nine investment partners have worked together for an average of ten years.
Albion Ventures LLP was created in January 2009 when it acquired the business of Close Ventures Limited from Close Brothers Group plc and is structured as a partnership formed by the former Close Ventures management team who have invested a significant amount in both Albion and the VCTs.
Albion invests between £1 million and £10 million of equity and/or debt to fund growth or MBOs.
