Private Equity Demystified

Private equity continues to grow in significance – and influence – across the globe for business, economies, investment, M&A and employment.

ICAEW’s Corporate Finance Faculty has partnered with authors John Gilligan, the late Professor Mike Wright and Oxford University Press to publish a fourth edition of Private Equity Demystified. The book is one of the most comprehensive and informative reviews of the asset class and its impact.

Private Equity Demystified is widely consulted by public-policy experts, economic analysts, institutional investors as well as private equity practitioners. The book is on university and business school reading lists from Harvard to Hong Kong.

The fourth edition, covers major developments in private equity, including the growth of fund-level debt, critiques of how fund performance is measured and explains contracts between institutional investors and buy-out firms.

All members of the Corporate Finance Faculty can access the digital version of Private Equity Demystified as part of their membership.
