Peter is a chartered accountant who qualified in 1997 and has been a sole practitioner since 2004, specialising in VAT. He is a highly experienced VAT trainer, having presented both public and in house courses for 20 years. Peter has a particular interest in land and property, partial exemption and cross border trade in goods and services. He was the main speaker at the IBFD’s VAT – Selected Issues course for a number of years which focussed on EU VAT issues, and he has also spoken in Malta, Switzerland and Ireland.   His practice work includes consultancy (often given to accountancy practices who do not have a VAT specialist on their own staff) and compliance work, which includes VAT returns for a number of UK and overseas clients. Peter is a member of the ICAEW Tax Faculty’s VAT and Duties Sub-Committee, and he is a representative on HMRC’s Land and Property Liaison Group.
