Boosting your data dive for audit analytics

The pace of change in the audit analytics market is making auditors reconsider their choice of tools. Lesley Meall looks at developments.

For now, MHA MacIntyre Hudson is focusing on Inflo and the “audit quality and value” it can add for the firm and its clients. “Once we started trialling it with clients, the feedback from some of them was amazing,” says Moyser, although perceptions of value varied.

“The sweet spot is directors who are not involved in the day-to-day business. The audit committee and other non-execs really appreciated some of the visualisations and graphics showing them what’s going on with seasonality and turnover,” he says, while some of the visualisations add most value for auditors. “You need a good balance.”
