It is a valuable exercise to set formal processes that work in tandem with an accounting software; the process can then establish the most efficient way to get the required data by utilising the functionality of the system. This is also a chance to reflect on why certain tasks are undertaken and whether changes need to be made to reduce workload or bolster the reliability of the system’s data.
